Is there a way to modify or disable auto-save on google docs?

i like using google docs when i write, that way i can add to my stories wherever i am. but auto-save drives me INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!! please please please tell me how to turn it off or modify it so it stops saving every two seconds!|||There is no way to turn off Auto-save. It's just a function of the way web pages work- either they're in constant communication or they aren't in communication at all. The only way to have an application like that function without auto-save is if you had to refresh the page every time you wanted to save it.
