How can i open documents from the internet using google docs instead of microsoft office?

i want to open .docx, .ppt, .xls. I want to find out if there is a way to open these files without having to first save it to my computer then uploading to google docs. i am using google chrome as my browser|||I'm not quite shore but try this.





After downloading it try to right click the file and click open with what ever program you have that might open or read the files.
