How safe are Google Docs?

Do you guys believe like posting, gradebooks, schedules and other primary information on google docs is safe. What about intruders, does google have a real safe firewall. Let me know your opinions, suggestions of facts!|||I would not put anything important on google docs. Google's privacy policies are sketchy to say the least.
