How to make a read-only copy in google docs?

I want to send someone something I wrote in Google docs, but when they click on the link, I don't want them to be taken to the sign up sheet. How do you create the read-only copies?|||Assuming that you are using the new Google Docs look:


- click on the blue Share button on the top-right corner


- a "window" will open, under "Who has access" click on Change


- select "Anyone with a link" and below make sure that the "Can view" option is selected and not "Can edit" if you don't want that person to edit your document.





Click on Save and send the link that will be given to you|||You need to prepare the document using PDF format using Adobe. You can download it free on line.
