How can i convert .wps files so that they're able to upload in Google Docs?

I have went from Microsoft Word 2007 to Open Office 3.2, and i need my Word files to save to Open Office so that i can upload them to Google Docs.|||You can open the .wps (Microsoft Works) file in the program linked below and copy the contents into a .doc file created with Word, OOo or Google Docs.
