How do you copy and paste on google docs?

it won't let me copy and paste but i wrote a whole document on word, but now i need to get it over to a mac at my school so i have to put it on google docs but it wont let me copy and paste!! all it says when i right click is "link" and i dont wanna link it!|||Instead of right clicking to paste insert your cursor where you want to paste and hit the CTL and then the V button on your keyboard at the same time. That is the shortcut to paste. Copy = CTL+C, Paste = CTL+V, Cut = CTL + X|||use pdf creater to print the page in pdf format iff the copy paste option do not work
