Can I make a shared Google Docs repository for my class?

Our class decided that we should find a place where we can all share files together and so on. Can we make a shared Google Docs repository? I know you get a GD account with you Google account, but we'd like it to be like a group.|||Yes you can. It would be a form of intranet within Google, and when you log in you will see the https in the url, knowing it is secure, and although Google knows about your information, you can feel secure with Google, which has the best security and information storing features of any other company in the world probably.
